It is critical to comprehend the seller and buyer’s rights and obligations with respect to the shipping or transportation of goods. Take this class to understand who is responsible for insurance and when transfer of risk moves from the Seller to the Buyer. So now that you have learned the Incoterms basics, you want to take this class to learn which term is the best fit for your company and how to maximize your profit! A level II class on the application of Incoterms® Rules in purchases and sales. Course will review the strategy and tactics of negotiating the minimization of landed cost and the maximization of profit from both perspectives purchasing and sales. IMPORTANT: This course will focus on ‘most commonly used trade terms’, which would be terms for goods shipped in a container.

International Logistics Course.Learn how to select and manage your freight forwarder, carrier, and customs broker. Take the fear out of international shipping. This class is the perfect overview of the transportation process—whether you’re shipping by ocean or air. Learn the steps you need to follow to move your products affordably, securely and within budget. Learn to control your international shipments by directly coordinating your documents with transportation rules and procedures. Review the air and ocean transportation & documentation process.

Need CTPAT training? Want to help protect your Supply Chain? Excellent class if you are considering CTPAT certification, preparing for re-validation or need to educate your group on your current CTPAT program. CTPAT is a voluntary public-private sector partnership program which recognizes that CBP can provide the highest level of cargo security only through close cooperation with the principle stakeholders of the international supply chain such as importers, carriers, consolidators, licensed customs brokers, and manufacturers. Note that this class is not associated with or approved by CBP, DHS, or the U.S. Government.

International Letters of Credit Course. Imagine not getting paid for your international sale! Unfortunately, it does happen. Learn to fully comply with Letters of Credit requirements to ensure that you receive payment for your shipments. Get involved in the set-up process, learn the basic terminology and significance of various documents, and learn how to prevent and handle discrepancies. Everyone involved in the international sale should learn about the Letters of Credit requirements. This will ensure that you receive payment for your shipments, get paid faster and lower bank fees.

Tariff Classification Course using HTSUS and Schedule B. This class is for importers and exporters. Tariff classification and valuation of goods must be done correctly for a successful international trade transaction. If you classify or value your products incorrectly, your shipment may not reach its destination, and/or you may be subjected to severe penalties. You will also learn how to determine whether goods are subject to quotas, restraints, embargoes or other restrictions. This course will give you the tools you need to properly classify your imported and exported goods.

USMCA!Are you claiming NAFTA? Learn whether your product should be shipped under the NAFTA Rules. Learn the rules to qualify and classify your goods under the NAFTA Agreement and review in detail the NAFTA Certificate of Origin Document. This seminar prepares a company for shipping into Mexico and Canada under the NAFTA rules, correctly complete and maintain the proper documentation to take advantage of the reduced tariffs under NAFTA.

Our expert instructor discusses products, why they are subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations, and whether an exporter would need an export license. This interactive course ensures attendees leave with a working knowledge of the EAR. This Export Administration Regulations training will jumpstart your ability to apply the EAR to your products and technology. 

Course provides a fundamental overview of the U.S. International Traffic In Arms (ITAR), the U.S. regulatory and statutory framework and provides an insight and understanding of the key principals and essentials of ITAR compliance. Country of Origin Determination,how do you get it right? Country of Origin is a key part of Free Trade Agreements! This course will help you understand the Rules of Origin for determining the Country of Origin. Why is it important? Class will cover Kyoto Convention World Customs Organization. What is “Substantial Transformation” for U.S. Customs Regulations.

This course has been designed to provide a comprehensive guide for the requirements for shipping products to Canada and facilitate exporting to Canada. Exporting to Mexico course presents an overview of the processes involved in cross-broker exportation between the United States and Mexico. Course  addresses U.S. export, U.S./Mexico cross border, and Mexican import requirements.
