U.S. Imports Of Fresh-cut Flowers
U.S. imports of Fresh-cut flowers increased 5 percent from $1.05 billion to $1.1 billion through the first 11 months of 2017 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.
The category ranked 279 through November among the roughly 1,265 import commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 271 for the last full year with a total value of $1.13 billion, a $103.08 million, a 10 percent increase from the 2015 total.
Through November of this year, the top five markets for U.S. imports in this category were No. 1 Colombia, No. 2 Ecuador, No. 3 The Netherlands, No. 4 Canada, and No. 5 Mexico. The top five airports, seaports and border crossings from which imports entered the United States through November were No. 1 Miami International Airport, No. 2 Los Angeles International Airport, No. 3 John F. Kennedy International Airport, No. 4 Buffalo Peace Bridge, NY and No. 5 Otay Mesa Freeway Border Crossing,
